The Python Documentary

If you were at PyCon US this year you probably noticed a film crew walking around, mostly following Guido. You might remember they showed a trailer for the Python documentary at some point. Yesterday, the documentary was released and this morning I had a chance to watch it. It's about 90 minutes long and I, personally, loved it.

I learned some things I didn't know, like what exactly it was that caused Guido to "rage quit". I heard about how Mariatta became the first female core developer. I have a better understanding of what led Guido to use that time off to create Python in the first place.

Like Brett said, I came for the language and stayed for the community. This is a wonderful history of both and I highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in Python.
