New 404 page

Published September 11, 2025

I love my hosting service, Teahouse Hosting. Not just because I'm supporting a small business run by amazing people, which I am. Not just because of how easy it was to get up and running, which it was. I love them because they are constantly working to improve the service.

One of the things they recently added was the ability to do a custom 404 page. So you get something that is unique to me if you type in the wrong URL (or if I give you a bad one.) So I decided to have some fun with it. I put together a custom 404 page that shows you a picture of my cat, Bert (isn't he just the cutest!) and a randomized message. Go ahead and reload the page, you'll see. At the moment I have 6 options in there but I'll probably add some more when I think of them. The scripting in it isn't too complex which is nice since I am, at best, a Javascript dabbler. It was a fun little exercise to get it up and working.
