I love my hosting service.

I've talked before about what got me to set this site up and four months later I want to say how happy it's made me. I've enjoyed being a maintainer on Render Engine and have found it really fulfilling to contribute to such a great project. But today I want to talk about teahouse.cafe - my hosting service.

Back in late April, early May Jamie and Piper started posting on Mastodon about how they were setting up a hosting service for static sites. At the time, I didn't have too much interest in it (again, see the post I mentioned above for more about why that became super interesting) but I took their card when I saw them at PyCon US. Now, five months down the road I am so happy I did. The service is amazing. It just works. I push my update to GitHub and within minutes (assuming I didn't screw something up) my site is updated with new content. I can work wherever. I don't need to deal with the certificates. I don't need to worry about the file system or web server. I just need to worry about putting out whatever content I feel like.

So that's why I want to recommend that, if you are interested in static site hosting and want a hassle free experience that is also supporting two really amazing people, you too should use teahouse.cafe (Note that that is a referral link but I don't think I get anything out of it other than knowing that I sent you to a great place!)
