Some people write hundreds and thousands of words a day. The write tweets and toots and skeets and posts galore. I am not that person. I don't know how you found my blog, if you saw a post I wrote on Mastodon or Bluesky, or you found it through some other avenue. Unless this is the first post of mine you are reading you probably understand this.
I somewhat wrote about this in my post about blogging for myself. So this may just be me revisiting that same topic. I guess some of the reason for my writing this is that I haven't had anything I really wanted to write of late but I also wanted to write something. I think I wanted to take some time and write because I need to exercise the part of my brain that conciously puts thoughtful words on "paper" (or, in this case Obsidian) and from there to my website. So with all of that I will put down some things from the past few weeks.
I talked about going to my parents' house to help them with their downsizing. Today I went to Michael's to get framing handled for some of the things that they gave me while I was there. I got a still life that my grandmother painted reframed. I had a beautiful photograph of a game at Ebbet's Field from the mid-50s reframed (the glass was in bad shape and the frame itself had some chunks missing.) And I put together a composite frame with 3 other Brookly Dodgers pictures. I think that last one is going to hang on the wall behind my desk in my home office space.
Yesterday I took 2 of my kids to see the Savanah Bananas.
It was definitely an experience. We all had a good time. We all said it's an experience
we did not want to repeat. As much as we all love baseball it was too much for us.
We'll stick to regular MLB and MiLB games from now on. There are a few more on our
schedule, including 3 when the Yankees are in town in September!
I think that's about all I want to write about now. I will do my best to write more, and more often. However often I write, it will be what I want to write about.
